I had the pleasure of dining at Fox & Goose Public House and was impressed by the cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I've come here couple times, once with a really large group of colleagues and another with a few friends. Both times we got seated right away (though we did make reservations for the larger group). The service is quick and efficient. I tried the bangers and mash (pork sausage with mashed potatos, carrots and peas), as well as the English breakfast. Both were good. Also tried the mini homemade scones with whipped butter, which was a nice treat. Prices are reasonable. Relatively casual spot that's quiet and good for conversation.

Yummy breakfast place! Can't believe I'd never been here before, don't let the big building intimidate you; they offered a very friendly and intimate birthday brunch experience for my family! And the food was delicious. They sat us in a wonderful seat in a corner booth since we had a group and it was just perfect. The food was very very good, looks simple but the flavors were thereeee!! Definitely recommend for brunch group of 1-4. They have an impressive mimosa flavor selection too $8 a piece. Not bad!

Fox & Goose is awesome! We came here for breakfast on Sunday morning and were definitely satisfied with our experience. They have a great patio area where we were seated. It's in the historic district of Sacramento and the building has a ton of character and a great ambience. It does a great American impression of the old English public house vibe and the food was delicious! We ordered the Benedict Arnold omelette and the Full Monty breakfast with french toast. It was all fantastic and it didn't break out budget. We're usually hesitant to eat out for breakfast due to the discrepancy in price at a restaurant vs price at home, but we felt like we got in and out for a very reasonable cost. We're looking forward to coming back for lunch/dinner, but highly recommend this place for breakfast!

They told us the wait would be an hour but it was only 30 minutes and they have plenty of shady waiting. It definitely sticks to the pub look and feel. The white mocha I had was delightful! The food came out fast and hot and our wait staff was friendly and warm. I had the quiche and potatoes. I loved the potatoes they were perfectly cooked but I only had a couple onions in mine. I thought the quiche was a bit bland but the crust was amazing. Do not miss out on the mini scones and cream. They were amazing! In our party it was also noted the lox was great and French toast was perfect!

tried this place for brunch for the first time. It seemed like it was going to be busy but my party of 2 were seated right away. From the start, all of the workers were very attentive and refilled our waters and noticed when we were ready to order. They also gave us our space to have a nice date :) Food: I would actually skip the scones. The cream was excellent but the scones were more moist than I'm used to. I liked the small size of them though (we got the dozen). The coffee was excellent and our mugs were never empty- even after we had already paid. The pancakes were good and the omlette was also good. Portion sizes were much bigger than I expected! You could easily grab an appetizer and a main or do a main and extra sides to share- if you like sharing meals. overall, would I go back? yes! Heard it can get pretty packed but we didn't have any problems. Really appreciate the service!

We ended up at The Fox and Goose Pub on our way to Tahoe. The food was good. We loved the beer flight. The service was quick and very friendly... and they have free public parking right across from 8AM- 8PM. And, I love that they are inclusive and support Pride.

A colleague and I were in town to attend the WACAC conference at the convention center by the state capitol. We were in search of a good place to eat dinner and this restaurant has good ratings on Yelp. I ordered the fish and chips; my colleague ordered the grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side. We both enjoyed our entrees. I want to add this was the best fish and chips I've had-and believe me, I've ate fish and chips in many restaurants throughout the years. This outshines restaurants in Las Vegas-Henderson where I live. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Service was excellent, food was great.

Came in again on Friday night 4/26, party of 2. Since this was G's first time in, we both went with British Standards and typical pub fare. I've been before for weekend breakfast/brunch, Pub Quiz night, and dinner. Started with the Banger Rolls to share which came with HP sauce (tomato+tamarind?!) and Colman's mustard. The sausage was dense and puff pastry nice! She got the Fish & Chips (ale-battered cod, Kennebec chips, tartar sauce, lemon, malt vinegar provided at the table on the side). I repeated my fave, the Cornish Pasty (beef, pork, turnip, potato, carrot, onion, herbs, gravy and field greens). The vegetarian version has sweet potato, turnip, potato, onion, peas, herbs, and Welse rarebit cheese sauce and is also a solid option! Next time I might try the Shepherd's Pie. They do have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items available if that's what you're looking for. Can't remember the name exactly of the signature cocktail that the Birthday Girl ordered, but I personally was eyeing either a Bellini or a Mocktail. Non-alcoholic beverages menu included the Isle of White (lemonade, rhubarb bitters), Cucumber Cooler (cucumber juice, lime juice, soda water), and the Peachy Day (peach puree, lemon juice, rhubarb bitters, soda water). I got the Peachy Day, which came in a mason jar and was tasty and refreshing! I also asked if we could do ollalieberry scones even though it was dinner service -- yes! They even asked if we wanted them to come out all at once or as dessert. We chose dessert and they even came out warmed with Devonshire cream on the side! There was live music which was a little loud but still fun tunes like Black Magic Woman and Brown-Eyed Girl. With a shift change, our main server did switch between the main courses and dessert scones. When the bill came out, we asked to split it half and half, but there was a mistake (undercharged) and she had to get the manager to correct the charge amounts. This caused a little delay and we were a bit late to our event.
